10 year Reunion!
Came across a folder with old pictures and I had to share it with everyone. While writing the blog it dawned upon me that this year it will be 10 years since we graduated from St. Xavier’s Mirzapur, a thought of reunion came to mind. Remember the days when we use to sing ‘papa kehte hai bada naam karega…’

I have a feeling it was that song we were singing here.. Aditya please confirm!

Its amazing to see how we have changed through times, I decided to steal some recent pictures from orkut albums… would love to get hold of everyone from the class!
Here are some before and after shots that I could get my hands on

Here are some pictures from school, would love to get the new ones :)

and to continue here are some newer shots, but don’t have pictures from schools (most of them taken from their orkut albums)

It almost looks like a listing of gum-shuda kendra.. well I will try to make it more interesting :)
You know how to find me if you can share more pictures that I can add here!

Hey Uzma!
I agree it will be amazing to meet everyone in person… so lets do 2 GTGs, 2 because most of us are either in India or US, and 2 because I don’t see summer as a time when a lot of people from US are travelling to India!
Please, do send me those pictures whenever you upload them. I’ll keep bugging you, till you do so :)
Thanks!

hi vikas,
this is an amazing idea — so much fun to see our old photos and compare with new ones. frankly, i cannot believe that it has been 10 years since our graduation! it definitely is a time for a get together, and i agree with you - let’s not be content with just one :)
let’s figure out a plan!

Hey Uttam,
It was indeed so much fun seeing these pictures, that I decided it will be worth sharing :) … as for the plan lets start by deciding on a place and time (wrt. people in US)
As for place - it will help to know where abouts everyone is!
West/Mid West
Ajay - Boulder, CO (??)
Gurupreet - San-Diego, CA
Kamal - San Fransisco, CA
Abhishek - Texas
East
Uttam - Boston, MA (??)
Vikas - Upstate, NY
Aditya - NYC, NY
Nihar - Jersey City, NJ
Sandeep - Maryland
Kunal - PA
Please update if I am wrong… and suggest the times suitable to everyone!

Hey Vikas,
It was wonderful going through all those pictures. I should say, awesome job and great creativity in organizing them that way. Hope rest is fine at your end. Also getting together is a good idea.
Take care,
Kamal

Hey Vikas,
It was a nice initiative to bring back memories of perhaps the best times we all have spent together in our alma-mater. Yes, you are correct, the song was “papa kehte hain….” and the lead guitarist as is seen was aditya.
Also, nice to see the before and after pics….I m still not able to recognise myself in my earlier pic…
Great work and thanks a ton..
A big hi to all the friends out there….

Hey Kamal,
Thanks and things are usual - that is great and fine :)
As for the get-together, lets exchange some thoughts on places. You might have noticed the list of people on the comment above your, if you have any updates to that list let me know, we can settle for a place somewhere in the middle of the country, which will be convenient for everyone.
As for time, any inputs - anyone?

Hi Havneet!
Glad you confirmed the song :) … as for your old picture its from the school-picnic at Ajwa-Nimeta, I am the one sitting next to you!
Now you better start talking to people in India. We can have a huge virtual GTG with web-cam and mics, just a thought - its definitely possible, if we want it done ;)

hi vikas,
yes I am in Boston these days, and in terms of timing for our get together, I was thinking we can tentatively plan for the July 4th or the Labor day weekend for US junta. What do you think?
Also, do you want to send out this blog post on the xaviers97 mailing list — I have a feeling people have not noticed this yet :)

Hi Vikas,
Dude thanks for the pics. Its sooo good to see all the old classmates from the good ol’ days. What surprised me is that I did recall most of the faces once I saw the pics, most of whom I havent seen since last 10 yrs. Thanks for that special feeling.
About the reunion, one of the ideas for the reunion is Las Vegas or how about florida. Lets plan out somethin over some long weekend.

:) amusing at first - but brings some of the best memories of my life to my mind. Thanks for posting these. Fantastic job.
I am totally in for the get together. Anytime after the summer is fine. My parents are visiting me for the summer - so not sure if I can fly out during that time.
A big hug :)
(P.s. A webchat with cams and mics is also a good idea)
