Interesting line up of captains for each team! I like the logo for mumbai champs, but will wait for a gujarat team to show up on the list for a nice support t-shirt! They so badly need a decent photographer (/stock photographs) for the website!

On the same front, I saw previews on TV for similar league matches for hockey and football (soccer, for those who play football with the ball in hand) when I was in India, can't seem to find anything online for that though! It was very encouraging to see sports media in India pushing other games besides cricket, wonder what is happening with that!

Ahh well .. how can the office politics be left behind, sphere results of your post showed this blog post .. so its BCCI ka IPL (Indian Premier League) vs ICL .. hopefully they will figure out a way to work together to build a better Indian cricket team rather than competing against each other!

The BCCI is just being plain stupid. Instead of using the ICL as a proven platform to recruit better players...it is focusing all its energy into driving the new venture out of business.

I don't see that happening...no way. In fact, even with the BCCI luring top foreign players...the ICL would be left with a lot more local talent to draft (and a more passionate fan base, to boot).
